- 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin or top round steak
Marinade
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp. wasabi powder
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine marinade ingredients and mix well.
Trim all fat from steak. Cut steak across grain into thin strips (approx. 1/4-inch thick). Place beef strips in sealable plastic bag, toss to coat, and refrigerate 1-3 hours.
Soak 16 wooden skewers (6-inch) in water for 10 minutes. Remove beef from marinade and discard marinade.
Thread beef, weaving back and forth, onto skewers.
Place skewers on grid over medium ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 5-6 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness.
Serve with Fiery Japanese Dipping Sauce.
Suggestions
Great also as a main course served over steamed rice.
