Oriental Short Rib Barbecue Asian

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. beef short ribs, trimmed of excess fat and cut crosswise no more than 3/8 to 1/2-inch thick
  • 2/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oriental dark-roasted sesame oil
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black peppercorns
  • fresh red chili pepers and green onions to garnish

Instructions

Combine sliced green onions, soy sauce, water, sesame oil, brown sugar, sesame seeds, red pepper and peppercorns. Place beef rib short ribs and marinade in plastic bag, turning to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 4-6 hours, turning occasionally. Remove ribs from marinade; discard marinade.

Place ribs on grill over medium coals. Grill 5 to 6 minute, or to desired doneness.

Place ribs on platter; garnish with chili peppers and green onions.
