Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round tip steaks, cut 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick
  • or - 12 ounces fully cooked steak strips
  • 1-2 fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 package (3 ounces) beef-flavored instant ramen noodles
  • 1/4 cup Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/4 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 small tomato, seeded and diced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

Instructions

Cut steaks lengthwise in half. Cut crosswise into 1-inch strips.

Remove seeds and membranes from jalapenos and mince.

In a small bowl or sealable plastic bag combine beef and jalapenos with the oil. Mix lightly to coat.

Break noodles into 3 or 4 pieces and cook according to package directions, but without seasoning packet; drain and rinse. Reserve seasoning packet.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry beef 30-60 seconds. Remove beef from pan and keep warm.

Add noodles, steak sauce, bean sprouts, peanuts, diced tomatoes, and cilantro to skillet. Sprinkle with reserved seasoning packet.

Cook mixture until hot, stirring occasionally. Return beef to skillet and mix lightly.

Suggestions

You may substitute shredded carrots for all or part of the bean sprouts.
