Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1-3/4 cups prepared pasta sauce, any flavor
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 package (9 oz.) cheese or vegetable-filled refrigerated tortellini or ravioli
  • 1/4 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
  • chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in large nonstick skillet over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up into 3/4-inch crumbles. Pour off drippings; season with salt and pepper, as desired. Stir in pasta sauce and water.

Spray two 2-cup baking dishes with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange refrigerated pasta evenly on bottom of each baking dish. Spoon beef mixture evenly over pasta; sprinkle cheese evenly over beef mixture.

Cover baking dishes with aluminum foil. Bake in 350°F oven 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes. Top with parsley, as desired.

Suggestions

Double the recipe for four servings and use an 8x8-inch baking dish.
