Ingredients

  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 cups coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup flour or corn starch
  • 1/3 cup garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup oregano

Instructions

Blend all ingredients together in large mixing bowl.

Rub on prime rib as recommended in Ranch Roasted Ribeye recipe.

The addition of cornstarch to this rub recipe will act as a binding agent allowing the rub ingredients to adhere to the beef cut. Many cooks prefer using cornstarch as it imparts no additional flavor allowing the rub to highlight the flavor of beef.
