Ingredients
- 4 beef strip loin steaks, cut 1/2 inch thick
- 4 oblong shaped rolls, split and toasted
- 1/2 cup picante sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- lettuce leaves
Instructions
Mix picante sauce, sour cream and green onions to make sandwich spread.
Season both sides of steak with black pepper. Grill steaks over medium ash-covered coals 6-7 minutes, turning once. (Or pan fry over medium-high heat for 6 minutes turning occasionally.)
Spread rolls with 2 Tbsp. spread per side. Top with lettuce leaf and sizzling steak. Close sandwich and serve hot.
Suggestions
Sandwich spread makes a great dip served with tortilla chips.
